Stockholm, Sweden, MAY 27th, 2014 – Game developer MAG Interactive today announced a partnership with production company High Noon Entertainment to adapt its popular Ruzzle series of mobile games for the US and European television marketplace. High Noon will develop and expand the gaming series into a format designed specifically for both broadcast and cable networks as well as the syndication market.

A truly social word game, Ruzzle allows each player two minutes to find as many words as possible from a given set of letters. Available in 13 different languages, the game can be played with friends or random players around the world. Launched in 2012 with a nearly zero marketing budget, the game quickly became a worldwide phenomenon rising to App Store’s top 10 list in 148 countries. Currently, the game has earned over 50 million downloads worldwide and is available on iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Amazon Kindle and Blackberry. On May 22 MAG Interactive introduced a new addition to the popular word search franchise as word puzzle game Ruzzle Adventure launched on the iTunes App Store globally.

“High Noon is the ideal partner for us to further develop the Ruzzle brand through a TV format,” said Daniel Hasselberg, CEO of MAG Interactive. “This deal is a significant step in our overall commitment to give our fans the richest diversity of options to experience and celebrate our beloved Ruzzle brand. Be it on mobile or now on TV, Ruzzle fans have more choices than ever before.”

Ruzzle has all the perfect elements of a game format – the rules are simple, anyone can play and there's a ticking clock,” said Jim Berger, Chief Executive Officer of High Noon Entertainment. “Combine that with high stakes, and we know the excitement and intensity of the game will translate seamlessly to TV."
