Hill Climb Racing: China Edition

Finnish game studio Fingersoft Ltd., developer of the award-winning mobile game Hill Climb Racing with over 260 million downloads worldwide, has released a China-localised version of the popular racer together with Finnish-Chinese publishing partner MyGamez Ltd.

Hill Climb Racing: China Edition launched on all major Chinese Android app stores during the Chinese New Year celebrations in February 2015.

The new franchise title is a co-production between Fingersoft and MyGamez. “The purpose of Hill Climb Racing: China Edition is to bring the original game’s fun and engaging gameplay to the close to 300 million Chinese mobile gamers in a culturally meaningful context,” says MyGamez CEO Mikael Leinonen. “It’s time to bring the local fans a brand new Hill Climb Racing experience with local themes and humour. We¹re expecting the China Edition to bring more visibility and new players to the original title as well.”

Fingersoft and MyGamez plans to launch monthly updates to Hill Climb Racing: China Edition, introducing new cars and levels. The launch version of the game features a selection of eight cars and seven levels, and racing takes place in famous Chinese scenic spots like the Great Wall, Shanghai and the Yellow Mountains.

The original Hill Climb Racing gained over 15 million downloads and good rankings Chinese Android stores since the game’s launch in July 2014. In January UCWeb, one of the biggest Android stores in China, selected Hill Climb Racing as the Best Standalone Game of 2014. China Mobile also awarded the original Hill Climb Racing as the Best Game of the Year 2014 in the sports category.
