Cornfox & Bros. and FDG Entertainment have announced the launch of the anticipated 3D iOS adventure game Oceanhorn, introducing mobile gamers to the world of Uncharted Seas. In Oceanhorn, our hero’s father has gone missing, leaving only a mysterious necklace and old notebook. By completing puzzles, fighting enemies and harnessing the power of magic, players will uncover the secrets surrounding their father’s disappearance.
Oceanhorn contains many resemblances to The Legend of Zelda franchise, as players explore villages, deserts, temples, caves and more. They’ll collect tools like bombs for destroying obstacles, and can carry weapons and defensive items including crossbows and shields.
In addition, players can destroy pockets of leaves to find coins, can complete puzzles by interacting with large movable objects or by pulling levers, and can open treasure chests to find new key items.
As players explore new locations, they’ll be faced with light challenges, like collecting a specific amount of money, or gathering certain collectibles. These are in addition to the main storyline, which the developer expects to last players 10 hours or more.
While the game offers full touch controls, Oceanhorn also supports iOS 7 controllers, as well as Game Center for achievements.
Oceanhorn features music from legendary video game composers Nobuo Uematsu and Kenji Ito. The game is now available to download on iOS for $8.99. Check back soon to track Oceanhorn on AppData, our tracking service for mobile and social apps and developers.
